Another trip that made me open my eyes wide. On the 28/5 17:55, i took off from Duesseldorf airport heading to Barcelona with my parents. My feeling was half happy half worried at that time. I actually self declared holidays to accompany my parents for this trip. The night we landed in Barcelona, we had a lil difficulty finding our hotel. After walking about 30 mins, we finally found it with some help of some youngsters. My dad learned some spanish before he came so he could understand some simple spanish. The hotel we were staying was located just on one of the lanes parallel to the main shopping/clubbing street Las Ramblas. However it was late at night and my parents were tired so we just had some meal and went to bed.
29/5 early morning, my parents woke up like 5am because sun already rise and they thought it was 9am already lolz. we head to the city centre and there's an official tour bus company with loads of people queuing up for it. Well, we were new over there so decided to follow the tour as well. This tour is pretty good as u can hop in and off the bus at any stops they make. It is also a guided tour where u can listen to commentary. We decided to make 1 round first before stopping at any location. Barcelona was so beautiful. let the pictures speak....

After 3 days in Barcelona, we head to Rome. It was kinda screwed up flight as it's the cheapest budget flights. My mom was right, though it's cheap but the service was even more cheap. That's why sometimes it's worth paying more for better service. Firstly they do not give free check in baggage and you have to pay 12EUR!!! for 1 baggage with the limit of 15kg. 2ndly you can't pay on the check in counter. Forget bout the hustle. we reach rome at 7pm and the room we booked(a bed & breakfast apartment) was nice. Well equipped and very clean, even had a small computer for me to surf internet. We had a chat with the owner and asked bout some information...man i just luv the way the Italians speak English lolz. Later in the night, we were hungry and there was a pizza restaurant just around the corner. It was so funny because they don't speak english and we can't understand italian coz it was somewhere in a residential area. It was so embarrasing and the tables around us were looking at us. Rome was another beautiful town. here's some pics...

Few things i have to say bout Rome. Indeed it's a beautiful place but the people there sux. First of all, the security level is kinda low. 2ndly if u're planning to visit there please get a Italian phrasebook or lean some italian first before you go. 3rdly, practice the malaysian way of crossing the road or else u'll not able to cross forever. The traffic condition there is really bad so it's good you can take the underground. Even the underground, it's a good place to keep fit because it's super packed n crowded. Italian ppl are impatient and rude. They generally speak very loud and they don't brush their teeth eventhough u can find "made in italy" in most of ur toothpaste!!!! another thing is if u're a coffee lover, please don't go there and order cappucino because they only drink super thick kau kau Espresso. to them cappucino is like hot chocolate!!
So after Rome, Berlin!!! Ah finally somewhere where i can understand everyone. Finally i'm familiar with the transportation and most importantly it's one of the safest country!!! Lolz i din take much pics of Berlin as i've been there 2 years ago but i finally able to open my eyes wide on the new Main Train Station (hauptbahnhof) which was completed during the world cup. It's really state of the art architecture and engineering. the fast trains enter the building on the 5th floor and the long distance trains on the 1st floor. Floor 2,3,4 are shopping and restaurant. It's like indoor themepark with trains as rollercoaster. Super super chun...however i'm only able to take a pic from the outside.

Finally the last destination : Munich. One word to describe this city...nice. Of course when u come to munich, u would actually consider doing either one of these activity : Skiing or visiting the Newschwanstein castle. Some might choose both lolz. The last 2 years i came to munich, my brother wanted to ski so much so we decided to go skiing and now i'm finally able to do the other thing, to see the castle that inspires Disney's castle. It's still one of the strong candidate for the new 7 wonders of the world. Of course munich is more than the castle...again pics will tell u more...

I'm sorry i'm not a good narrator. I can't describe how beautiful these cities are. Well after so many places i've been to, i'll give u my top 10:
1.) Barcelona (nice scenes, nice ppl, nice food)
2.) Edinburgh(nice modern city with old structures)
3.) Rome(nicer scenes than Edinburgh but the ppl there sux)
4.) London(has lots of things to see but again too crowded)
5.) Munich ( less scene, nice food, super nice town)
6.) Dublin( nice scenes, metropolitan style but things ar 2 expensive)
7.) Glasgow ( a nice place to stay on)
8.) Manchester (would be a better preference to stay on than London)
9.) Berlin(basically berlin is the most perfect place for me, however due to the language barrier)
10.) Kuala Lumpur (why is it on my list?? coz it's where i was born lolz)
After this trip, I realize one thing. Germany is actually a very very good place with good ppl compare to other places in Europe. Though language has been always the barrier for me, but i've seen sucky ppl like those in Rome. Besides, German's transportation system(especially their train network) are so advance that u can basically forget bout driving. Just get a monthly pass and the trains are actually not expensive(if u don't include the fast trains). Another thing i find germans very helpful especially if u're a tourist. Other towns kinda hate tourist especially London and Rome.

In case for those of u who doesn't knoe that I've been on a trip, just to tell ya I'm back..Ich bin zurueck!!! I would love to blog about my trip with quality pictures, but not now coz i'm still so tired and lots of things to do. I hav heeps of homework and notes to follow. I've to start studying too as exams are just 1 1/2 months ahead. But just feel like blogging.
Well I'll give an overall about the trip. Generally I enjoy the sight seeing and the food in some places. I had some small conflicts with my parents during the trip mostly in terms of decision making and making ourselves look like OK. Barcelona was fantastic so as Rome but i don't really like the traffic condition over there. Germany not so much comment on it since I've been here for almost 3 years. Language was a big barrier esp in Italy. Didn't buy anything from anywhere. 2 reasons for that. 1 is that we're actually on a tight schedule. 2ndly my mom is around, and she'll just comment on anything that i want to buy, whether it's too expensive or too controversial. The good thing is that my boss/aunt(the one that came to germany for world cup last year) gave me 200EUR to spend yeaa...but i'll spend it wisely and make sure it's worth wat i'm spending. However during the trip, especially at the end of it, I felt moody most of the days. Actually it's not something suprising and it doesn't mean i don't enjoy the trip. It happened to me each time i'm on a trip. I've been doing lots of thinking, and each time I'm on a trip i'll also do alot of thinking. The similarities between each trip is that I think of the same thing, just different situation, different timing and different location. Don't think i wanna talk bout wat i'm thinkin over here.
Ya so that's a lil bout the trip, when i get all da stuff ready, I'll blog more about the trip. That's all for now, be back soon. Yeah actually I would also like to take this opportunity to say sorry and Happy Belated Birthday to my 2 brothers Sein Hon and Chui Kean 26/5 and 2/6 respectively. I actually remembered your birthdays but i don't have your numbers and i'm not able to call when i'm on a trip.

I'm suppose to continue "Story of Doug Episode 1" but apparently i've no time to edit the pics and think of what to write. I'm now in the library studying for my lab but i've read 10x di lolz. I mean if i really don't know the stuff, no matter how many 100x i read it'll be the same. I'll have a short break now. Well just to update u guys on how i'm doing over here.
Firstly, Busy is the word i can use. I'm sure my kaki-chatting would notice that I've been on9 so seldom, i'm damn losing out in all those kepoh-ing. In all these 6 semesters this is my busiest sem. Normally it should be the easiest sem, as most people would focus on internship and thesis and finish up those incomplete subjects. It's my fault anyway. I should have put in more effort in the 3rd and 4th sem. I know you've heard of this regret many times if u read my previous post, but i'm still feeling regret about it. Nevertheless, it's time to move on and i think i'm on the right track. I get busy this sem, but if everything goes as i planned, i'll be graduating next year. I hope i can get good result for all the subject this sem, then i can maintain a good credit point. Currently my average is 2.1(1 to 5 wif 1.0 the best) and if u compare this marks wif the US GPA system, i'm slightly below 1st class. But i've confident. as long as i can score for most of the sub, I'll get below 2.0 and remain in first class. But i have to tell u this, German system don't focus too much on classes for bachelor, and there's no graduation ceremony. Sounds pathetic? Nah, i like it this way. More practical. Basically as long as u have a 2.5 below you're consider good. Of course 1.0 is the best and for Masters & PhD, there's even a grade 0,7 which is excellent!!!. I'm definately not doing my masters here(sick of germany) lolz. I plan to do MBA actually. Maybe in Singapore, or Taiwan.
Lets not look too far, this sem 10 subs, 1 project, 3 non-tech, internship n a thesis. I wish myself good luck and all da best lolz. That's for the studies, and now gadgeting. Well if u notice last sem i bought lots of hi-tech stuff(spend too much!!!!) this year instead, I'm selling stuff. I just sold my speakers and replace wif a headphone(a Sennheiser man!!!!). Sound quality is good, esp music but the problem wif headphones is that u'll feel uncomfortable after wearing for hours. Other than that nothing much, din even buy any clothings( no more white blazer thingy lolz).
As for the next 2 weeks, I'll not be in town because my parents will be visiting me. We'll be going to barca and roma, not to forget of course berlin and munich. Well, I'm of course excited bout it but I'm also worried after 2 weeks my load of work will be doubled. The actual plan was that my mom wants to come for my convocation, but when i told her there's no such thing in Germany, she was like "harh??? then how??" lolz. She must be regretting to send me to germany. Don't worry, I'll graduate wif a German Degree(eventhough it's from a non-famous Uni).
As for me and my darling, I hav to be honest over here. We've been in a downstream for weeks but in this few days, things ar going up again. I am gonna miss her during this 2 weeks since i'm unable to communicate over the phone. Oh, i just noticed i did not announce this good news to u guys. My darling graduated and now she got a job which will start in June, a pretty good one i think(right darling???). She's now having lots of worries, worrying that she won't be able to cope with her job. But somehow I have total 100% confidence in her. I've only seen her once dressing up like an OL, which was the time we went shopping in parkson for a formal suit. Gotta tell u, she's damn sexy on her OL dressing. That's the only reason I'm worried bout her job lolz. I'm sure there're lots of colour wolverine that will eye on her. But I've confidence in myself(in another words, SEI OI!!!) coz i have lots of good quality that she's attracted to me lolzz hehehe. I might not hav the good looks, but i'm totally supernaturally charming especially when i show off my intelligence. I know most of u guys are starting to puke!!! Well, seriously we both hav been thru alot and i believe it's the experience that makes the bond between us stronger, not bout charm or physical attraction. I won't deny that I'm worried if people starts going after her esp i'm so far away, but on the other hand I feel proud coz among all the guys, she've chosen me. And i do believe in faith, if it's meant, nth can change that.
I guess that's all i have to say for now. I hope to update u guys on my blog wif more pics next time so u won't get bored!!!

Long time since i post anything. Don't seem to find anymore interest in blogging. But nevertheless, since i'm here and i feel like telling stories, here's a crappy post...
Long long time ago in a galaxy far far away....

On april 7th 1985, dunno wat time, in General Hospital KL(i think), it was the day where history was made. A born of a special child named Douglas. He was cute, chubby and fair(at that time la) lolz. He grew up in a family consist of a great daddy, wonderful mum and a super genius brother. Daddy used to be 6 feet tall and a state bball player. Mom is a scholar and a very smart women. Brother is now 4/5 of a doctor and soon he's gonna be one hell of a doctor. As for he himself, he's 2/3 an Engineer, but currently engine is not so near(taken from Godfathar™).
From 1985 till 1999, there are lots of memories. One of his trademark was his blardy hell short pants(i have no idea why I wore such a short pants that time, sexy qua hehe). He was a brass band member in charge of trumpet(look at my shiny trumpet), a Grade 5 piano drop out hehe, a lazy boy, a badminton champ in primary school and not to forget a head prefect(though i always kena screwed by the discipline teacher).
Pictures will tell u more.....

Then comes secondary school where he studied in S.M.K Sri Sentosa, the greatest mushroom skul of all time.
From there, he met a girl(half guy half girl at that time). Became close friend instantly due to such great compatibility.
But at that time they were only friends. Further more he was a super duper bookworm at that time.
To show off abit, he was awarded 2 times consecutively the best geography student 1998 and 1999(eventhough i hate that subject).

He ranked 5th in the whole form in 1998(those were my glory days lolz). At the end of 1998 he proved himself once again that he's a true leader by being elected to be the Head of Librarian board(geng le) but was fired in 1999(lolz lolz lolzzzzzz). After that his results drop exponentially
he's been strap off his fancy post one by one but on the other hand he became less nerdy, less bookwormmy and more outgoing(at that time outgoing = cyber cafe). He became one of those jeng guys playing this game 24-7.

Sometime around beginning of april, miracles happen. it happens on the 5th April 2001.....it's like a dream come true...

Here's some updates bout me. Well the title rojak means i'll put in everything i can think of, no specific topic to talk about. Well the last few days I've even thought of closing this blog and also friendster since it's so damn boring. I've seems to lost interest in blogging and friendstering. I mean those people that i always contact are mostly in my MSN list. So why should i keep friendster then?? Now that we can send offline msg in MSN, so there's no problem contacting those "active" friends. Well for comment and testimonial, I'll sort of lose that out, but i don't receive testi that often so i don't lose much. anyway that was just a thought. I think i won't delete it and just leave it there.
I'm now in lecture hall waiting for the lecturer to come. So i'm surfing internet. I came across The Star and i found such an interesting news - "Few Malaysians satisfied with their sex life". Agree with me? According to this article, 64% of Malaysians would like more intimacy and better communication with their partners. What is more interesting is that so you girls claim that guys are more horny?? here's the thing from this article - " . Despite sex being perceived as fun and exciting by most, satisfaction is still only marginally equal between men and women, with 40% of Malaysian women saying they are satisfied, compared to 37% of men" for more information please log on to this page.
This semester is going to be another busy sem. I have only 3 lectures but the problem is i have to take non technical courses. Well the funny thing bout this Uni is that you MUST attend non technical course in order to complete the degree but it's optional to come for class during technical courses. Anyway that means only one thing - life is getting more and more boring. I'm so screwed. I am still stuck with the internship thingy. I really hope i can get a company to employ me ASAP, best if they giv me a good allowance haha.
Spring is here. On Monday it was like 34 degrees and yes though it's the same temperature you find in Malaysia, but the worse thing is that i don't have any fan or air con in my room. It was so hot that i have to sleep naked. I don't really enjoy this kinda weather although i'm kinda sick of the sub zero temp during winter. Today it was just great. Somewhere between 10-20 degrees but i would appreciate more if there's more sunlight. Currently it's quite cloudy.
Sighz, see another boring post. Should i really consider closing this blog??? I'll think bout it when i have the time!! Gtg, gotta finish some reports!!!
