Barcelona Rome Berlin Munich

Another trip that made me open my eyes wide. On the 28/5 17:55, i took off from Duesseldorf airport heading to Barcelona with my parents. My feeling was half happy half worried at that time. I actually self declared holidays to accompany my parents for this trip. The night we landed in Barcelona, we had a lil difficulty finding our hotel. After walking about 30 mins, we finally found it with some help of some youngsters. My dad learned some spanish before he came so he could understand some simple spanish. The hotel we were staying was located just on one of the lanes parallel to the main shopping/clubbing street Las Ramblas. However it was late at night and my parents were tired so we just had some meal and went to bed.

29/5 early morning, my parents woke up like 5am because sun already rise and they thought it was 9am already lolz. we head to the city centre and there's an official tour bus company with loads of people queuing up for it. Well, we were new over there so decided to follow the tour as well. This tour is pretty good as u can hop in and off the bus at any stops they make. It is also a guided tour where u can listen to commentary. We decided to make 1 round first before stopping at any location. Barcelona was so beautiful. let the pictures speak....

After 3 days in Barcelona, we head to Rome. It was kinda screwed up flight as it's the cheapest budget flights. My mom was right, though it's cheap but the service was even more cheap. That's why sometimes it's worth paying more for better service. Firstly they do not give free check in baggage and you have to pay 12EUR!!! for 1 baggage with the limit of 15kg. 2ndly you can't pay on the check in counter. Forget bout the hustle. we reach rome at 7pm and the room we booked(a bed & breakfast apartment) was nice. Well equipped and very clean, even had a small computer for me to surf internet. We had a chat with the owner and asked bout some information...man i just luv the way the Italians speak English lolz. Later in the night, we were hungry and there was a pizza restaurant just around the corner. It was so funny because they don't speak english and we can't understand italian coz it was somewhere in a residential area. It was so embarrasing and the tables around us were looking at us. Rome was another beautiful town. here's some pics...
Few things i have to say bout Rome. Indeed it's a beautiful place but the people there sux. First of all, the security level is kinda low. 2ndly if u're planning to visit there please get a Italian phrasebook or lean some italian first before you go. 3rdly, practice the malaysian way of crossing the road or else u'll not able to cross forever. The traffic condition there is really bad so it's good you can take the underground. Even the underground, it's a good place to keep fit because it's super packed n crowded. Italian ppl are impatient and rude. They generally speak very loud and they don't brush their teeth eventhough u can find "made in italy" in most of ur toothpaste!!!! another thing is if u're a coffee lover, please don't go there and order cappucino because they only drink super thick kau kau Espresso. to them cappucino is like hot chocolate!!

So after Rome, Berlin!!! Ah finally somewhere where i can understand everyone. Finally i'm familiar with the transportation and most importantly it's one of the safest country!!! Lolz i din take much pics of Berlin as i've been there 2 years ago but i finally able to open my eyes wide on the new Main Train Station (hauptbahnhof) which was completed during the world cup. It's really state of the art architecture and engineering. the fast trains enter the building on the 5th floor and the long distance trains on the 1st floor. Floor 2,3,4 are shopping and restaurant. It's like indoor themepark with trains as rollercoaster. Super super chun...however i'm only able to take a pic from the outside. Finally the last destination : Munich. One word to describe this city...nice. Of course when u come to munich, u would actually consider doing either one of these activity : Skiing or visiting the Newschwanstein castle. Some might choose both lolz. The last 2 years i came to munich, my brother wanted to ski so much so we decided to go skiing and now i'm finally able to do the other thing, to see the castle that inspires Disney's castle. It's still one of the strong candidate for the new 7 wonders of the world. Of course munich is more than the castle...again pics will tell u more...
I'm sorry i'm not a good narrator. I can't describe how beautiful these cities are. Well after so many places i've been to, i'll give u my top 10:
1.) Barcelona (nice scenes, nice ppl, nice food)
2.) Edinburgh(nice modern city with old structures)
3.) Rome(nicer scenes than Edinburgh but the ppl there sux)
4.) London(has lots of things to see but again too crowded)
5.) Munich ( less scene, nice food, super nice town)
6.) Dublin( nice scenes, metropolitan style but things ar 2 expensive)
7.) Glasgow ( a nice place to stay on)
8.) Manchester (would be a better preference to stay on than London)
9.) Berlin(basically berlin is the most perfect place for me, however due to the language barrier)
10.) Kuala Lumpur (why is it on my list?? coz it's where i was born lolz)

After this trip, I realize one thing. Germany is actually a very very good place with good ppl compare to other places in Europe. Though language has been always the barrier for me, but i've seen sucky ppl like those in Rome. Besides, German's transportation system(especially their train network) are so advance that u can basically forget bout driving. Just get a monthly pass and the trains are actually not expensive(if u don't include the fast trains). Another thing i find germans very helpful especially if u're a tourist. Other towns kinda hate tourist especially London and Rome.

You had a really nice Eurotrip. I also have been in this cities, but in different time and most of all I liked Barcelona. Barcelona is certainly a city of many wonders. Barcelona is bursting with cultural energy and has become one of the most popular tourist destinations throughout Europe. It is a fabulous city, filled with amazing architecture, great restaurants, a pretty harbour and good shopping and good choice of hotels in Barcelona. The works of Antoni Gaudi dominate the city of Barcelona. Though the city is both modern and cosmopolitan in nature, it has a rich history in architecture and the arts. The Sagrada Familia is probably the most well known of Gaudi’s works, and is known as a symbol of Barcelona across the entire world.
