Losing Control

I haven't been losing control of my life for some time already. Recently, I started to feel that i'm losing it again. Somethings should have been over for a long long time, but yet it ain't over. Blame myself for that. Well we all know humans are bounded to emotions, and most of the time we follow our emotions blindly without having second thoughts. I'm recently having some emotional problems again. On the surface everything looks fine. Everything seems to be harmless, but in fact it's actually thrusting my internal feelings. Nothing hurts more than internal "injuries" because it's the hardest to cure.

I don't want to elaborate more details on what happen. Just felt like blogging out about it and hope that I'll feel better.

Anyway I noticed something, I always get really emotional when somethings are very close to an end. My project is also coming to an end and son the beginning of my thesis. Time is flowing fast, and soon I'll be completing my first degree and return home. I tend to think alot and when i do, I'll start losing control.

Yesterday I was having a double celebrations with other Malaysians to celebrate Joan's birthday + farewell for 3 seniors who will be going home soon. After that I went shopping in Essen with some of them, mainly to scout for present for my brother, who's also graduating very soon. There was a new "biggest" shopping complex called Limbecker Platz. As most of you might already know, Europe don't fancy those big shopping mall like in Asia. They normally have shopping street instead of shopping malls. I couldn't get anything for my bro because it was either too expensive or not suitable, instead the only thing i picked up was more emotional feelings. I start missing those time where i can just walk around Midvalley, eventhough it's just window shopping. I miss walking for hours and stop for coffee at starbucks or stop by for a movie. Most importantly I miss shopping with companies I wanted to hang out with. Just so different here.

Sighz...

Aktuelles

Aktuelles means Updates in German.
I told everyone that I'm very busy. But to be honest, busy is not the actual reason. I mean, I am busy as in i'm working on my project. But the fact is that I am always knocking my head on the wall as I am constantly stuck with ideas. I truly don't understand why I am given such a hard task despite lacking of knowledge. I am not a NERD nor a GEEK, nor a Genius. Anyway the topic of my project is wireless power transmission. In summary, the task is to develop a circuit that can transfer power without any wires attached. In simpler way to understand this, imagine if you can charge your handphone or laptop battery by just walking into a room with no strings attached. Mobile devices such as laptop or cellphone are not 100% "mobile" yet since you still need to charge the chemical cell in order to use for a couple of hours. In the future, you can fully enjoy the 100% mobility of these devices. My project is 100x easier than what i've described but it's at least 100x harder than doing those exams. Anyway if you want to know more you can simple type in google "wireless power transmission" or "inductive power transfer" for more information. Apparently the people in MIT have done alot of research on those and advancing alot in development.

Yesterday I had 4 hours of basketball 3 on 3. Normally I am very slack because I don't have enough stamina to play seriously and I'm always lack of confidence. Yesterday I was stimulated by someone who claim to be "expert" . He aint expert. He can shoot well, but lack of skills and most importantly and the most crucial part, he was a very selfish player and that hits up my fire. I was in the same team with him during the first match, and i couldn't stand the way he played. I was so frustrated and I decided to show him some quality basketball the second match along with my 2 other teammates which we had a very good team spirit. A combination of nice passes and good finishes, plus once in a while i do some freestyle, this shuts his mouth! State player?? My ASS!!! You can't even beat me.

Basketball is in my roots. I know most of my basketball kaki had given up on basketball but I can never forget basketball in my life. I am going to play even when i start working. My dad was a state player when he was 6 foot tall and much younger. So, when i'm back in malaysia, please please find tme to play basketball with me!!

That's for the project and basketball. Lets talk football. The flying dutchmen were sinked, Azzuries wall of defence have been destroyed, Napoleon French were disarmed, and Portugal once again failed to deliver. Yesterday the Ottoman's Turk fall in the hands of Germany. To be honest, The team that impressed me the most were the Russians. Lets see if they can revenge a 4-1 defeat against Spain. But nevertheless, I have been on the German side, and though they don't play well in many matches, they still somehow found a way through. Like what the Astro Supersport's Paul said, the Germans have a different formula in knockout tournaments.

How did i know what they say?? Because instead of watching German TV, i watched most of the matches on streaming TV, and guess what...I get to watch supersport here lolx. What a joke, came all the way here to watch Malaysian channel.

Oh Shebby singh, what a joke!
Btw, it's Philip Lahm not "Phillip lamb" and Schweinsteiger not "Swansteiger". Also, one funny comment from Shebby..." Rustu couldn't get CLOSER to KLOSE".

The only time i watched in Public viewing was the opening match of Germany against Poland.

So much about football. Like the experts say, if germany don't improve the way they play, based on the performance of Spain/Russia, they'll stand no chance against those two teams.

Btw, I have also bought new bed sheets and pillow sheets.
Chun or not?? believe me I sleep better with those on.
A closer look at the pattern....

COFFEE TEA OR ME????

lolx......

Japanese Festival Duesseldorf 2008

As you all know, I'm not a big fan of any Japanese series or Anime or Manga, but I like the Japanese culture and food especially, not to forget Japanese chics are one of the finest in the world. Though I've been here for 4 years, I've never been dragged to any of these festival before knowing the fact that Duesseldorf is one of the largest Japanese area out of Japan. Nevertheless why did i go?? It was all because of meeting up with Nicholas and Eriko of course.

Here's some pics...

First we start up by buying food of course, since we reached around lunch hour
This booth from Kikoman, a very famous brand for selling japanese sauces such as Teriyaki or Jap Soya sauce.

Yummy Oishi desu ne!!!!

Then, we go for the atmosphere. It's cosplay day. Many of them wore costumes of mainly Japanese Manga and Anime, with some small part just wearing a simple Jap traditional dresses, and some idiots who tried to be like a Jap but ended up being a Punk!

Punk vs Jap with samurai sword...

Forgive me for being such a noob in Japanese Anime/Manga. I really don't know nothing about them. Maybe you can tell me what are those characters. Of course Nikki and Eriko knew some of them since they're fans and Eriko is a Jap herself.

But still I enjoy watching them in those costumes after all, some of them are chics!!

But despite not knowing anything about those costumes, I so happen to be one of the players of Final Fantasy 7 long time ago. I knew at least one character.....the villian...

Sephiroth!!

He's the limelight and even the German TV WDR shoot him on air.....and I am not a coward to stand beside him to take a photo with him, after all I slashed him with my ultima weapon..x4 cut too...ahh i forgot all the skills name adi...it's been like....8 years ago??

Huha, sau kool!!!!

After 2 1/2 hours, it was raining donkeys and monkeys(instead of cats and dogs) and so we need some cover...

it's time for a coffee break at.....................

STARBUCKS of course...

Then we headed back to the fest and this time Adrian joined us for the fireworks...

Finally the happy ending of the story was......

The beautiful and romantic fireworks.....

Flying Dutchman

No time for long updates, but man, Seems like the orange Army are fierce.

You don't go beat the World Cup defenders and runners up with a margin of 3 goals...

Haha, but anyhow I'm happy coz I kinda like the Netherlands team since the time of Overmars Berkamp and some even before..They somehow didn't perform well in big tournaments but so far the opening two matches were like training ground to them!

Keep it up and I'll be back with more updates..

Tomorrow meeting Nikki and Eriko..wuhu!!!

The Week

Just some updates. After having clear of health problem(though I'm still having some running nose and some sore throat), I decided it was time for sports. As I've mentioned in the previous post, I met 2 malaysian guys and they were also highly enthusiastic for sports. We started off with Badminton last Saturday. A 3 hours session. The both of them were really great players and we were trashed just in 10 mins time. Then we changed partners, and it became a more fair game. Overall, syok! I do noticed that my fitness(stamina, strength, agility, speed....) are significantly reduced so much. Well, not so surprised as I only do sports recently and I've not been doing any fitness training for a long while such as swimming, push up pull up sit ups. The last time I jog ended giving up after 5 mins. Can you believe that? At that time, it was really cold and I find it hard to breath actually. I don't care! I need to upgrade my fitness level. I am going for jogging, and doing sit ups at home.

Badminton wasn't the most enjoyable sports I've done. After 1 year, I finally played BASKETBALL!! I bought a new ball as my old bballs were out of shape. Edwin whose about 5 cm shorter than me, played really well. I lost most of my shooting touch, but still manage to put up a passing show. We played with the Germans who are taller and bigger size, but lack of skills. However, height has an advantage. We still lost in the first match because it was undefendable when they are below the ring. The next few matches was a disaster for them as an Iranian guy join us for a 3 on 3. He has the speed and body, but again we are shorties. Nevertheless, our pace is giving them a hard time chasing us. We beat them also with far range shots and back door cuts, no chance for them. Though I'm very satisfied with the game, but i felt it wasn't really a challenge. I mean back in Malaysia I've played with tall players before but they were far more skillful. Those players were much harder to play against. That's one of the reason. But the main reason was that I enjoy the most playing with Gabriel, Sheng Wa and Kar Sang. We were also shorties and lack of skills(not Gabe and Sheng Wa), we still have our good moments by beating the stronger team with our nice teamwork. Like I've always mentioned, I didn't like basketball as an individual sports, it's a teamwork team. I love watching a nice passing game rather than a fancy dunk. That's why I love watching the Dallas Mavericks and Phoenix Suns of the NBA(2006/2007).

If that's all, you're wrong! Tomorrow will be another game of Badminton and Monday will be another game of Basketball. It's all about sports now. And besides doing sports, how about the thrill and excitement of Euro 2008? I've just watched both the opening matches of Group A. Sucks to be honest, but yeah Euro is back! Tomorrow I'll be watching Germany vs Poland in an open air big screen with a bunch of drunk Germans. As you can see, though I support mainly Spain and Holland, but since the Germany World Cup 2006, I start to support them too(if not kena belasah meh??) . Thanks to Maxis, I still have the adidas Euro 2004 Germany jersey. I'm going to be one of those drunk German fans minus the drunkness.

It's always great to watch football with people around you, but again i still miss those moments in Euro 2004 where I watched football with Gabriel in ABC mamak stall in Citrus Park( is it still under ABC??). I also miss watching premier leagues with the gang(SW, Khian Foo, etc etc), but hey I'm coming back soon right?

Still having mix feeling when i think of coming back. Yes I'm desperately hoping to leave this place and meet my best buddies and family back home, but where's the excitement I used to have 2 years ago?? Firstly my activities will be cut down alot due to various reasons. Increase in petrol is one of those, and probably I'll get a bicycle when I'm home. As I've also mentioned before, busyness will also be another factor. Not just me, I'm pretty sure my friends will have their things to do(girlfriend/boyfriend, work/study/family). Even I myself is also a big factor. I have to start applying for job, and also applying for Masters. I've not really decided what I'll do after the degree. It's really a good thing if I can continue doing masters in Germany, or other place, but then again I am sick of studying. My mom insist that I look for job elsewhere but it's not that easy though I've been studying here in Germany for long. But then again, I'll try. I am willing to give and take whatever that comes. Malaysia or not Malaysia.

Sighz, I miss those days. I really do. I can write a text book of what I've missed. I've also mentioned in brief so many times in this blog that I really missed those moments I had especially those 2 summer break where I spent my time in Malaysia. It is obvious to see that I appreciate things more when I'm not having them. I always hope I can turn back time and go through once more, but like what Jess said in one of my very old post - Even if i had a chance, it won't have the excitement anymore to go through the second time. How about hoping for something similar to happen again?? Is it too much to ask for??

Can't help being emo after all. But at least I'm more optimistic now. Not because I suddenly became rich or suddenly became smart, just that I've learned to look things at the brighter side(except for health problem). Germany is really a training ground for me.

Brother will always be Brother eh?

This Pic was found under Kelsen's Blog for his new gangsta post

Seems like he join the brother hood of Botak Chin. But Botak Chin is no more botak chin. The hair grow significantly already. It's quite unfair right to be da gangster head based on the hairstyle. So, In order to be still as fierce as botak chin, here's mine!!

Haha, See this is one of the proof we're good bros. Now both of us look like gangsta. lolx.

Sheng Wa, Sau Pei la!!!!
